What is it?
“Men on mission” refers to the newly ignited ministry for Catholic men forming at St. Francis Cathedral. It’s for men who are seeking more. It will be a dynamic fellowship of men to deepen and increase their commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church through breaking open the Word of God, prayer and sharing in faith. No previous experience in formal ministries, Scripture study or the teachings of the Church is needed. The only requirement is an open heart and desire to follow Christ more deeply in faith, hope and love.
When is it?
The inaugural sessions will begin as a Men’s Lenten Journey---the six Saturdays of Lent. We will meet on Saturday mornings after the 8:00 am mass, 8:30 – 9:30 am. Every Wednesday you will be sent the Gospel reading along with questions we will reflect upon for the upcoming session. Each man who participates will also be challenged to begin or increase his daily prayer to be in solidarity with the brotherhood of prayer. Guidance on how to formulate a daily time of devotion and prayer will be discussed at our first meeting.
