Cathedral of St. Francis of assisi

The Social Concerns Ministry's focuses upon the Corporal Works of Mercy of the Catholic Church. These teachings from the life of Jesus Christ give a model of seeing people as if they were Christ in disguise. In the Gospel of St. Matthew: “as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”

Social Concerns is the main point of contact for individuals who are seeking support or services for a variety of needs. The group assesses those needs and determines if they can be provided for through the Parish or if referral to other trusted organizations is needed.

In addition, engaging the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi parish in service to others by offering a variety of opportunities for parishioners to share their time, treasure, and talents with the larger community
